The Ivy Cottage fine consignments
As of February 2019, Anne Bonny’s Waterfront Dining and Bar is open for the season!
Soak up beautiful waterfront views while indulging at downtown Wilmington’s most beloved outdoor bar and restaurant. Nicknamed “The Barge,” Anne Bonny’s Bar and Grill can be found floating along the Riverwalk on South Water Street, offering a casual atmosphere and reliable American food paired with frozen cocktails, wine or beer. Take up a prime spot at the tiki bar, a large table under the covered roof or at the high top counter lining the riverside wall and feel the water slosh beneath you while you drink and dine.
Anne Bonny’s pride and joy is their Calabash-style seafood, named after “fish camps” held in the town of Calabash in the old days, in which locals would gather for fish fries made with freshly caught seafood deep fried in a seasoned batter. This comes in the form of fish and chips, a loaded fried shrimp basket, fried grouper sandwich and crispy panko-coated Maryland style crab cakes served with a sweet and spicy Cajun remoulade sauce. Other seafood options include a Yo-Ho Po’ Boy, salmon sandwich served blackened or grilled, and a highly raved about lobster roll loaded with a fresh made lobster salad of mayo, onions and celery and topped with crunchy salt and vinegar chips. The generous portions are enough to satisfy any craving after a day spent either on the water or on the town.
If you’re not in the mood for seafood, Anne Bonny’s also offers both classic and signature bar food options, including piled-high nachos, a variety of chicken wings, deliciously golden cheese curds and crinkle cut french fries, perfect for sharing with friends on a long, relaxing evening out spent taking in the serene riverscape. No evening out at Anne Bonny’s is complete without one of their signature frozen cocktails, ranging from a Sangria Slushie to the Mango Sunrise, a refreshing concoction of Jose Cuervo tequila blended with mango and poured over strawberry puree, just oozing with tropical vibes.
