The Wilmington area draws a large number of visitors who come to the festival each year. Several of the celebrations have been recognized as outstanding regional or national events. With such an abundance, we have room to highlight only the current major festivals and make mention of some of the rest. Cape Fear Latinos Festival

Cape Fear Latinos Festival shines a light on the Hispanic community in New Hanover County and creates a place to come together to celebrate their roots.

Feast Down East 4th of July Fundraiser

The “Feast for the Fourth” fundraiser is raising money to repair Feast Down East’s box truck and to expand their vehicle fleet to include a new refrigerated van. The box truck is integral to the work of FDE as it is the primary vehicle for moving locally sourced products around the region.

Wilmington Symphony Orchestra Masterworks Series 2019

Whether you’re a first time visitor or a long-time season subscriber, you will thoroughly enjoy an evening with the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra. Audience members are delighted each year by the Masterworks concerts presented by the orchestra, which includes 65 to 70 experienced musicians from around the Cape Fear Region. Founded in 1971, the WSO is one of the region’s distinctive cultural treasures.

Azalea Festival

From its beginning in 1948, the North Carolina Azalea Festival has blossomed into a five-day event showcasing exquisite gardens, great artwork and our rich cultural history and heritage. It is held in April each year at the height of azalea blooming.
