Start the day with coffee and breakfast. Everything from a full American breakfast to tea and toast is available at Oceans Restaurant.
Stop in for lunch, when you can munch various appetizers, tuck into a salad or dig into a grilled burger with pimento cheese, bacon and tomatoes. Open with potato cakes, crab and spinach dip or an appetizer portion of unusual shrimp and grits. Sautéed Carolina shrimp join garlic, tomatoes, bacon and mushroom in parmesan cream sauce over fried cheddar grits cakes. Poached scallop salad features the shellfish over fresh arugula with prosciutto, spiced pecans, fresh strawberries and raspberry vinaigrette.
Seafood, steaks, ribs, chicken and pasta are added to the menu at dinner. Chefs crust mahi with macadamia nuts, sauté the fish and then finish it with citrus buerre blanc. Crab-stuffed flounder is roasted before being napped with creamy lobster sauce. Braised short ribs, beef tenderloin, pretzel-crusted chicken and baked penne pasta alfredo with grilled chicken, tomatoes and mushrooms are other options.
You can even get a pizza. Choose from a large selection of toppings or a house specialty, say the Moore’s Inlet pizza with seasoned shrimp and crab, mozzarella, fresh basil and fresh tomato slices. Oceans is open to the public. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily. Hours are 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
