Game On at Carolina Ale House
If this season’s playbook calls for food, sports and fun, then you’ll score big at Carolina Ale House (CAH) in Wilmington.
With nearly 40 beers on tap (plus hundreds in bottles and cans), a refreshing blend of craft cocktails, 50 TVs and some of the best food specials in town, CAH is the hotspot for sports fans — with maybe even better seats than those at the live game!
“With our tagline of Food, Sports and Fun, that’s exactly why people come to our restaurant,” says Dana Pyle, marketing manager. “And we have every viewing package under the sun, so any sport is available for viewing at any time.”
Open since 2009, CAH has been known for its winning record as a meeting place to huddle up for lunch, dinner and drinks in front of the big game. Choose to dine inside or out on the covered patio on a menu of fresh-made burgers, sandwiches, tacos, wings and boneless zingers. What’s even more delicious is CAH’s lineup of $1.99 appetizers during the week from 4 to 7 pm, which includes fried chicken tacos, buffalo popcorn chicken, chili tostadas and bar cheeseburgers. Pair this sweet deal with any of CAH’s drink specials offered all day, including starting beer featured at $2.75 or a pitcher for $9, and a $5 daily signature cocktail.
“Another ongoing event that’s unique to Wilmington because of our patio is Pints & Paws every Wednesday from 6 to 9 pm, when owners can bring their dogs out to join them on the patio through October,” Pyle says. “It’s a lot of fun with your furry friends and a cold drink.”
Feed your appetite for food, sports and fun at Carolina Ale House.
As the CAH Wilmington team preps for its biggest season of the year (football), expect different promotions throughout football season, including giveaways to upcoming Panther’s games.
“Our team also does a really great job of hosting games in the parking lot for kids and things like that to help entertain them during commercial breaks and halftimes of the games,” Pyle says.
Giving back to children and the community is the backbone behind CAH’s theme of Food, Sports and Fun. With fundraisers, auctions and donations, they support local little league teams, adult recreational leagues and charities.
“The family that owns Carolina Ale House has a big belief in philanthropy,” Pyle says. “Last year, after the hurricane, our store was one of the locations that was able to get back up pretty quickly to feed the community, our employees and first responders.”
Yet another philanthropic program that CAH offers throughout football season is CAH-U. If alumni groups from colleges across the country organize a watch party at a CAH location, CAH will donate a portion of their food sales to their school’s alumni scholarships.
