Dinner Music at Bluewater Waterfront Grill
Bluewater’s Summer Music Series will add more fun to your Sunday.
Hear that? It’s the delicious sounds from the Summer Music Series cooked up every Sunday at Bluewater Waterfront Grill, where you’ll want to stand up from your seat and move your feet to the beat.
Bluewater’s Summer Music Series has been a Sunday staple in Wilmington for the last eight years. It’s held from 4 to 8 pm every Sunday from April to the end of September.
Step foot onto their tropical dock and patio and wear your dancing shoes, because their live music lineup is an eclectic mix of rock, dance, pop, modern country and more that’s known to fill the dance floor. Artists each season are a blend of both popular and familiar local bands as well as some new-to-Bluewater acts. Concerts aren’t canceled when it’s raining; the band and dance floor are just moved under a covered space.
Located along the Intracoastal Waterway at Wrightsville Beach Marina, Bluewater is renowned not only for its live music, but also for its relaxing vibes and inventive food and craft cocktails.
Choose to dine or drink indoors or alfresco, making selections from menus that provide fresh seafood options, grilled specialties and refreshing signature cocktails. The summer cocktails list has just been revamped to include artful concoctions using fresh ingredients, such as the Bluewater Mojito (White rum, mint syrup, lime and fresh blueberries), the Afternoon Watch (Spicedrum, Pama pomegranate liqueur, elderflower, liqueur, lemon), a variety of margaritas and sangria with fresh raspberries, strawberries, peaches and mangoes.
Visit Bluewater by land or by water at their day dock; staff is standing by to help you tie off your boat and hop off-board. Plan to stay at Bluewater for a bite and a tune, or stay for a drink and take your dinner to go on the water. It’s your choice!
You may want to plan your visit right around the sunset, because they aren’t any more beautiful than at Bluewater.
“The way the restaurant is situated overlooking the Intracoastal, we have the most perfect view of the sunset each night,” says Larry Morgan. It’s almost like a watercolor painting — just gorgeous.”
If you want to make it a full Sunday Fun Day, begin with brunch and live music at Bluewater’s sister restaurant, the Oceanic, situated right on Wrightsville Beach, from noon to 4 pm. Prep for Bluewater with reggae tunes and a mimosa overlooking the Atlantic at the Oceanic and end your Sunday with a frosty drink and a fast dance as the sun sets over Bluewater.
