Who’s Who of Wilmington Today: Meet Nory Simoneaux, Broker, Nest Realty
Where are you from?
I’m originally Jacksonville, NC, but Wilmington has been home base for the past 20 years. I have done a lot of traveling and moving, but always come back home to Wilmington.
What is your favorite part about living in the area?
Being able to spend time outside virtually year round!
What are 3 words that describe you?
Social, Motivated, Dependable
What is your average workday like?
From the outside looking in it may seem a little crazy, but there is order to the chaos! We are natural early risers, so we spend some quality family hang time before taking off in all directions.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I absolutely love helping people, in all aspects of life. That combined with my love of Wilmington real estate has been a perfect fit. Because I am also extremely concerned with the environment and health, helping my husband run his business, Whole Water Solutions, has been an equally satisfying passion.
What is the most difficult part of your job?
Being the bearer of bad news! You never want to tell someone something they do not want to hear. Often it turns into a positive, because I will always come with suggestions/alternatives.
What has working at Nest Realty done for you?
Nest Realty breaks the mold; the agents I work with are some of my closest friends, confidants and mentors. We work together with our clients at the forefront of every single thing we do. We do not have time to be aggressively competitive with one another; we are too busy building each other up and focusing on what is important.
Do you have any future goals for the company, and what will you do to achieve these goals?
I am so excited to continue to grow with Nest Realty. Our team of amazing agents is growing and the energy we have is contagious. Whole Water Solutions is going to keep fighting the good fight to ensure clean water for all, and until we see that day we will continue to offer the most affordable option to our customers.
- Favorite movie: The Warriors
- An embarrassing moment: It definitely involves being involved in too many texts at one time and disclosing something quite personal to a client. Whoops! While extremely embarrassing, we were able to laugh about it for weeks to come.
- If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why? Teleporting! It just seems like the most efficient superpower out there.

- Do you have any pet peeves? Loud eaters
- Favorite quote or mantra: If the plan doesn’t work change the plan, not the goal.
What do you want readers to know about you?
When approaching my real estate business I jokingly tell people I become your personal assistant/realtor, but it’s not really a joke. Need a painter? I’ve got it, and I’ll get the quotes. Need someone to turn on the lights when you’re at work? I am that person. I really do make sure that every detail is taken care of and am happy to do so!
Whole Water Solutions started off as a supplemental income business for my husband, who also worked in commercial reverse osmosis. Our customers are the absolute best and really through work of mouth he was able to break out and be 100% self employed doing what he loves! We are the most affordable reverse osmosis option residentially in New Hanover and Brunswick counties, and the most special thing is when you call us you get us. Need a service call, you are going to get Paul. So while the future will include producing jobs for our area we really pride ourselves on being accessible to our customers, always.
