Who’s Who of Wilmington Today: Meet Brad Moree

Brad Moree wanted to go to a college with a business school on the beach and he did just that. Originally from St. Petersburg, Florida, the University of North Carolina at Wilmington alum never left the coastal town and said living at the beach is hands-down his favorite part about the Cape Fear area. Moree is a real estate professional and attorney, and his every-growing law firm focuses on comprehensive real estate law services. Friendly, honest and driven, Moree manages to find balance between his job and his life outside of work.

What is your average workday like?
BM: Actually I wake up most days at 4:20 am and meditate and then hit the gym. Then it’s chaos getting ready with a toddler running around. I spend the first two hours at work only on the most important task of the day, and the rest of the day is lunch meetings with referral partners to catch up and strategize or to meet new people and see how I can help them grow their business or introduce them to someone they may want to work with.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
BM: Honestly, that first smile a client puts on when they finally realize the dream home they just worked their butt off to make a reality is now THEIR dream home!

What is the most difficult part of your job?
BM: Managing chaos and different personalities. Who am I kidding? The most difficult part is doing all of this with a toddler and twins on the way!

Do you have any goals for the company and what will you do to achieve them?
BM: We have an office in Wilmington and North Raleigh and I plan to build those offices in both capability and volume, but, more importantly, I am working very hard to deliver a level of quality, service and perks unlike any other real estate firm in the markets we serve. You can expect more and more workshops presented by our firm leaders on business planning and on how to professionally own and manage your business (regardless of the part of the real estate industry you are in). We’re in the early stages of planning some pretty big events that will be hosted at my house on the Wrightsville Beach Marina (fun business socials).

If you could have a superpower, what would it be? Immortality
What’s your favorite song out right now? My son listens to Baby Shark 1 million times per day and he also likes Luke Bryan. I don’t get to listen to my stuff often, but I literally listen to everything (hip-hop, EDM, Country, 80s and 90s rock, literally everything)
Do you have any pet peeves? I hate that pizza makes for a dad bod and not six-pack abs
What’s your favorite quote? If you aren’t happy with the status quo, create something that makes the status quo obsolete
