Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Wilmington
Join New Hanover County residents in raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research on November 2.
On Saturday, November 2, New Hanover County and surrounding area residents will join the fight against Alzheimer’s disease at the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® — the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
The Alzheimer’s Association – Eastern North Carolina Chapter will be hosting Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Wilmington at Wrightsville Beach Park located at 321 Causeway Drive. Check-in opens at 9 am with an Opening Ceremony at 10 am and a Walk Start at 10:30 am.
On walk day, participants honor those affected by Alzheimer’s with the poignant Promise Garden ceremony — an experience that signifies our solidarity in the fight against the disease. During the ceremony, walkers will carry flowers of various colors, each color representing their personal connection to the disease.
