Our latest project—the CS-320 model—demonstrates how a single 40-foot high-cube shipping container can be transformed into a stylish, efficient accessory dwelling unit (ADU) right in the heart of Downtown Wilmington, NC.

The CS-320 is officially certified by the North Carolina Department of Insurance (NCDOI), Office of the State Fire Marshal, Manufactured Building Division. This certification means every home is built in a controlled factory environment, ensuring top-tier quality, consistency, and efficiency—while meeting all state code requirements for residential construction.

A Collaborative, Local Effort

This milestone was achieved in partnership with Wilker Design Co. (architectural services) and Gulftream Steel (fabrication and construction). The process included developing a robust Quality Assurance Manual, passing third-party reviews by ICC-NTA, and securing state plan approvals.
