Cheers And Enjoy Craft Beer in Wilmington

by Aug 17, 2016Restaurants & Bars, The Blog, Wilmington

We love to sit down with friends and sample craft beer from around the state or from our favorite breweries around the country. There’s nothing like savoring a fresh seasonal brew made by people who care about beer!

Here are a few local watering holes that offer great food for the hungry and craft beer for the thirsty. Try each one and until you find your favorite beers and barstools!

Choose from dozens of draft microbrews and even more craft bottles at Carolina Ale House on College Road. Ales, ambers, lagers, IPAs—you’ll find your favorites here. There’s a bar menu in addition to the full dining menu in case you work up an appetite lifting your glasses.

Downtown Wilmington’s popular eatery is a brewery, complete with tours! Kolsch, amberjack, IPA and ales are favorite drafts and there are always seasonal selections like pilsner and stout. In addition to a full bar menu, Front Street Brewery offers a huge selection of whiskeys, and even a sampler flight.

Hops Supply Co.

Hops Supply Co

A gastropub on Oleander Drive, Hops Supply Co. is home to 10 ever-changing taps, draft cocktails, and sampler flights. Select your preference from this Beer-o-graphic. The pub offers lunch and dinner as well as brunch on Saturday and all day Sunday, when there’s live acoustic music. If you love brown ales, try the Smuttynose Brown Dog Ale.

Platypus & Gnome

Eclectic modern cuisine right on Front Street makes Platypus and Gnome an easy place to get a bite. The wraparound bar makes it easy to enjoy a craft beer, too. You’ll find plenty of local beers on tap and a fine selection in bottles, too.
