Novant Health opens a new Wilmington medical plaza, expanding primary care and surgical services to better serve the growing community.

Novant Health has expanded its primary care and surgicall services with the opening of a new 36,000-square-foot medical office building in Autumn Hall, located at 5505 Currituck Drive along Eastwood Road.

The new facility now houses Novant Health New Hanover Primary Care – Autumn Hall and Novant Health ExpressCare, which provides walk-in care daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Primary care services have moved from their previous location at 510 Carolina Bay Drive and will begin seeing patients in the new space on Friday, May 23.

“This move allows us to broaden our primary care offerings by adding a second ExpressCare provider during peak hours and creating space for five additional primary care physicians,” said Ernie Bovio, president of Novant Health’s Coastal Region. “As our region grows, we are actively recruiting more primary care and specialty providers to meet the evolving needs of our community.”

Several surgical clinics have also relocated and expanded on the facility’s second floor, including Novant Health Colon and Rectal Surgery, Novant Health Surgical Oncology, and Novant Health Maxillofacial Surgery. The Novant Health Surgical Institute is continuing to grow its care teams to ensure comprehensive access to surgical services for the Wilmington area.
