Cheers for Tears
By attending a winter garden party, you can help Hope In Sight raise funds for people suffering from Dry Eye Disease.
Hope In Sight, a local nonprofit organization, is excited to announce its first fundraising event dedicated to supporting individuals suffering from Dry Eye Disease. Cheers for Tears: Fund the Fight Against Dry Eye! Winter Garden Party will take place at Blooms & Branches Garden Center on Friday, January 26, 2024.
Dry Eye Disease affects millions of people worldwide, causing severe discomfort and potentially impacting vision and their quality of life. This fundraiser aims to raise awareness about the condition and generate funds to assist those who cannot afford treatment.
“We believe that everyone deserves the right to have comfortable vision,” says Dr. Crystal Brimer, O.D., of Dry Eye Equation. “Every dollar helps fund advanced treatments for patients who cannot afford their treatments. With the support of our generous community, we can make a significant impact on the lives of those affected by Dry Eye Disease.”
Dr. Brimer’s specialty eye clinic, the Dry Eye Equation in Wilmington, is dedicated to treating patients with an innovative, personalized approach.
For more than two decades, Dr. Brimer has spent her career advancing the science of diagnosing and treating dry eye disease. She has been featured in the Ophthalmology Times, Global Newswire and on television.
With the Hope In Sight nonprofit the mission is to bridge the educational and financial gap between what medical insurance covers and what needs to be done to bring relief. By raising funds via events, they can provide the necessary education, financial resources and medical access for those on fixed incomes who cannot afford needed treatments.
The event will include guest speakers, a free wine tasting with Wynn Distributors, food by Middle of the Island catering, live acoustic music, DJ Wild Heart and a silent/live auction with RLC Auctioneers. All proceeds will go directly toward funding Dry Eye Disease treatments for patients in southeastern North Carolina. All members of the Wilmington community and beyond to join in this worthy cause to bring relief and support to those affected by Dry Eye Disease.
