Tregembo Animal Park
For a modest admission, you can see an amazing variety of more than 100 creatures from insects, birds and reptiles to a lion, tiger, giraffe and emu. One of our favorites is a brown bear with a name most kids’ love: Booger. Children love to call out, “Here Booger,” or “Hey Booger,” which results in gales of laughter.
Feeding allowed at Tregembo Animal Park
You can feed corn or peanuts to some of the Park’s animals. Some you can pet too. And, of course, you’ll want to visit the 4,000 square foot gift shop to take home souvenirs.
Besides the usual zoo animals, the Park boasts many unusual specimens too. If you’re curious, go to their website for a preview of the critters that are on display.
The 10-acre park is situated on U.S. Highway 421 in Monkey Junction. From late March to Labor Day, the park is open daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting; in September and October it is open Saturdays and Sundays only.
