Quartermasters Restaurant, located on the approach to Surf City on Topsail Island, is offering a terrific special on Tuesday nights. A very popular dish, fried flounder (served with two sides) is available for just $12.99. Beverages are a bargain too, with $2.50 domestic drafts and $4.50 margaritas on Tuesday.

Ruth’s Chris Steak House has special deals in their attractive lounge and patio. Vintage cocktails are available at the bargain price of $7 and several items, including chicken Caesar salad, prime sliders or spicy lobster, are just $9, a discount from the normal $12 to $16 price.

PortLand Grille at Lumina Station has a number of delicious, lower priced entrees on its menu. For $20.95 each, diners may choose from numerous entrees that come with two outstanding sides. Among the recent choices were¬†a yummy baseball sirloin, Loch Duart Scottish salmon, wood grilled mahi or wahoo and more. Sides are delicious too. Our favorites: mashed sweet potatoes, buttered spinach, garlicky broccoli, four-cheese truffle grits. Food is superb as always.

Henry’s Restaurant has $5 appetizers in the bar, not just in the early evening, but all evening long. The restaurant is known for its Crate to Plate specials, using local ingredients backed by Goodness Grows in North Carolina.
