Communities – Landfall

Landfall is a community of nearly 2,200 acres that has developed over nearly three decades into North Carolina’s premier coastal community. Located on the Intracoastal Waterway and Howe Creek in Wilmington, the community features over four miles of waterfront property as well as superb golf courses. Complete information regarding availability of properties in Landfall is easily obtained from Living Landfall, a premier realtor specializing in Landfall as well as other properties.

The 25 different communities that comprise Landfall include lakes, ponds and a wide variety of land and vegetative environments that are an ideal setting for the nearly 2,000 homes located there. Homes range from spectacular ones located on the Intracoastal Waterway to condos and patio homes that are preferred by some retirees. Landfall also has 29 miles of paved roadway and 320 acres of conservation areas.

With so many communities within Landfall, there is a wide range of home prices too. In 2014, the highest price paid was $2.9 million and the lowest $240,000.

Landfall offers plenty of things to do within its gates. Perhaps a walk or bike ride on the one mile paved path around Landfall Lake or a stroll through the nature trail beckons, while the kids play soccer, volleyball or basketball on the community recreational facilities.

Those who purchase membership in Country Club of Landfall will find 45 holes of the best golf in North Carolina minutes from their front door, with 27 holes designed by Jack Nicklaus and 18 by Pete Dye.

If racquet sports are preferred, there is tennis on the 14 varied court surfaces of the tennis complex set on 14 acres, arguably North Carolina’s finest tennis facility. Perhaps a healthy workout in the Club’s fitness center, a swim in its Olympic pool that features eight lanes, a toddler pool, snack bar and areas for relaxation, or dinner in its excellent dining facility is more what is desired.

Landfall is located only five minutes away from the ocean front town of Wrightsville Beach and just 15 minutes from historically interesting Downtown Wilmington, which is filled with restaurants, attractions, theaters and shops offering unique, superbly crafted merchandise.

A regional library offering a host of education programs, huge shopping complexes and many outstanding restaurants are just outside the gates.

Landfall is a controlled-access gated community, which is secured by three entrance gates that are either manned by security personnel or accessible via a bar-coded entry system, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The professionally trained staff provides an array of services to the community that adds convenience to everyday life; they respond to resident inquiries, provide assistance to 911 calls, check homes while homeowners are traveling and basically assist residents in almost any capacity possible.
