Many artisans have chosen this area as their preferred place to live. Our land and sea scapes provide infinite possibilities for artists and photographers. Designers working with wood, metal, glass, semiprecious and precious stones have an audience that appreciates the works that are produced. Two annual arts and crafts festivals celebrate their efforts.

Orange Street Arts Fest

With so many talented artists in Southeastern North Carolina, it’s very fitting that there should be a festival showcasing their wares and talents. Held on Orange Street between Front and Second Streets in Historic Downtown Wilmington, the 18th Annual Orange Street Arts Festival, the largest art festival in the area, takes place over the Memorial Day weekend, May 29 and 30, 2015.
